Originally from Quincy, Massachusetts, Jack Burke attended Cardinal Spellman High School – where he was recruited by UNC Charlotte to play Varsity tennis, beginning his life in the Queen City. Initially planning to study architecture, conflicts between studio time for his major and the tennis team’s practice sessions forced Burke to change course, leading him to pursue a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Visual Communication & Design. Throughout his college career, Jack juggled a variety of activities beyond academics, from playing tennis to pledging Sigma Phi Epsilon to pursuing creative endeavors that eventually shaped his professional path. Enrolling in UNC Charlotte’s very first computer graphics class, Jack came to realize that emerging digital technology could bridge the gap between artistry and profitability, a professional priority as a creative. After graduation, Jack explored 3D animation, advertising, and film production through his first professional jobs at several studios and agencies – and shortly after receiving his degree, Burke Computer Designs was founded in 1991. Much has changed in the 30 years that ultimately created today’s BURKE Integrated Marketing Agency, but through changing names and locations some things remain constant: a client-centric philosophy, full suite of services, and commitment to creativity.
