Account Executive
This role is not a traditional sales position. Salary with commissioned sales.
The Account Executive should be dynamic, agency experienced individual that has a proven track record of managing client expectations and a wide range of projects that encompass all aspects of marketing strategy, creative development, digital marketing, and film/video production. They are responsible for the day-to-day management of various projects from planning, execution and final delivery. This position reports to the Director of Accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining client relationships, confidently interacting with all levels of leadership.
- Serve as a knowledgeable, reliable point of contact, including expertise of tools and knowledge of various stakeholders to gather necessary assets or information.
- Writing strategic creative briefs to ensure projects meet defined targets and goals.
- Facilitate meetings, manage agendas, and capture clear notes with action items to share with appropriate stakeholders and team members.
- Seamlessly manage multiple projects of various scopes with differing and converging timelines.
- Excellent communication skills, especially via email, that provide clear direction and enable collaboration between internal teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, proactively share ideas, and develop effective, tactful responses or elevate to higher management.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with a positive demeanor and supportive team mindset.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Advertising/Marketing, Communications or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Marketing or Account Manager, agency experience required.
- Experience developing and implementing new strategies and programs that successfully achieve business objectives.
- Organized and skilled in project management. Must balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines.
- Adept at managing projects and deadlines with industry software such as Asana and Teamwork
- Proven ability to effectively leverage marketing budgets.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. The ability to network and create strong interpersonal connections with key industry players is a definite plus.
- Fast, creative thinker/problem solver; ability to work in fast-paced environment.

Vice President of Sales
Position Overview:
As the Vice President of Sales, you will drive aggressive revenue growth by supporting the company’s sales strategy, pursuing new business opportunities, and eventually developing a high-performance sales team. This role requires a relentless hunter mentality, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of how to sell marketing services in a competitive and fast-paced environment. The initial target market areas will be NC, SC, TN and GA.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development (Hunter Mentality):
- Aggressively seek out and secure new business opportunities across target markets per BRK’s (ICP).
- Identify high-value prospects, build strong pipelines, and own the outreach and pitch process.
- Lead the charge in prospecting, cold outreach, and deal-closing to fuel agency growth.
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute a bold sales strategy focused on new client acquisition and market expansion.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales efforts with company goals and service capabilities.
- Continuously refine the sales playbook to improve targeting, messaging, and close rates.
- Team Leadership:
- Build and manage a driven, metric-focused sales support team.
- Instill a culture of accountability, high performance, and hunger for results.
- Provide mentorship, training, and leadership to help the team excel in both hunting and farming roles.
- Client Acquisition & Retention:
- Lead all aspects of the sales funnel, from prospecting to proposal to close.
- Partner with client services and marketing teams to ensure smooth transitions and long-term success.
- Create upselling and cross-selling strategies that maximize customer lifetime value.
- Forecasting & Reporting:
- Own pipeline visibility, revenue forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Use CRM and analytics tools to track activity and drive performance.
- Report regularly to the executive leadership on pipeline health, performance, and risks.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of sales leadership experience in marketing, media, advertising, or digital agency setting.
- Proven success in aggressively generating new business and exceeding sales targets along with a book of business from past relationships.
- Expertise in selling complex marketing solutions (e.g., digital campaigns, branding, SEO/SEM, media buying).
- Superior communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- CRM mastery (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and strong analytical mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

Web Developer (WordPress/PHP)
BURKE is currently looking to hire a Web Developer to join our team full-time at our office in Charlotte, NC. The right individual must be able to collaborate with internal departments and clients and demonstrate good multi-tasking and organizational skills. The candidate must have a passion for solving problems and the ability to write clean and efficient code.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing web sites for BURKE’s clients
- Showing a passion for web design and staying up to date on current web
development best practices
- Working cross-departmentally to improve the overall process of development projects
- Leading by example in writing clean, semantic code based on industry best-practices
- Setting internal standards for performance, optimization & testing
- Managing a multitude of diverse website updates and feature requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Performing cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure sites function equally across modern platforms
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality for clients’ sites across a variety of CMS environments (Joomla, WordPress, custom)
Skills and Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining CMS based sites (WordPress experience required)
- Custom WordPress plugin and theme development
- Experience building integrations with 3rd-party APIs
- Creative and graphic design skills with a strong sense of design (Photoshop and Illustrator experience required)
