In Part 1, I talked about why an anniversary is a marketing opportunity, not just a date on the calendar. Now I want to show you what that’s looked like, because we’ve been fortunate to experience these milestones alongside a lot of our clients, and every one of them tells a different story.
At five years, we partnered with Tokai Carbon to produce an anniversary video celebrating its journey. Five years gives a young company a chance to say: we’re here, we’ve built something, we’ve learned, we’ve grown, and we’re just getting started.
At 10 years, we helped Supporting Autism celebrate with a special party and celebration. An anniversary event can become a lot more than a party. It can bring employees, customers, partners, and supporters together around a shared history. That’s culture. That’s connection. And that’s brand building.
We’ve also developed anniversary identities for Macoser, including its 30th and 35th anniversaries, and supported clients celebrating 15, 20 and 25 year milestones. At 25 years, you’re celebrating a quarter century of experience, relationships, and evolution.
We designed the 40th anniversary logo for Century Contractors, which became part of an incredible celebration with its employees and customers. That’s an important part of anniversary branding: it isn’t only about the company. It’s about the people who made the company possible.
This year, we’re especially proud to be working with several partners upcoming celebrations of 50 years, including PBI (Price Brothers Plumbing), Century Contractors, and Eastwood Homes.
Fifty years is an extraordinary accomplishment. Think about everything that can change in half a century: technology, leadership, the economy, customer expectations, competitors, employees, and markets. Yet these organizations have kept evolving and growing. That’s a story worth telling, and worth marketing.
From 70 Years to an Incredible 140 and 150
We’ve also had the chance to help Anthony & Sylvan Pools develop sub-brand identities for its 70th and 75th anniversaries. These identities show how a milestone can become part of a company’s larger brand story. When it’s done right, an anniversary identity doesn’t compete with the master brand. It reinforces it.
Wikoff is celebrating an incredible 75 years, and we’re proud to be producing an anniversary video to help tell that story. At this level, an anniversary becomes more than a celebration. It becomes a chance to preserve history through photographs, stories, milestones, and the voices of the people who helped build the organization.
But the most remarkable anniversaries we’ve had the chance to work on are Thompson’s 140th, on a regional level, and Continental Tire the Americas’ 150th, on a global scale, for which we produced anniversary videos and motion graphics.
Think about that. 140 and 150 years. Not in my lifetime.
Very few companies ever reach milestones like this. We designed the 140th anniversary identity for one and developed the 150th video and motion assets for the other, each one recognizing an incredible history of longevity, dedication, and evolution. At 140 and 150 years, the story becomes one of generations: the ability to evolve with the times without losing the foundation that made the company or organization successful in the first place, on a local, regional, national, and global scale. That’s a powerful brand story. That’s something that we can help your company with.
Stories like these are only half of what makes an anniversary campaign worth doing. The other half is what it does inside your own walls, and what it proves about your business in a market where almost anyone can launch fast but almost no one can last. That’s what I get into in Part 3.
